Wire Butt Welding Machine

KRITONICS Wire Butt Welding are highly precision and elegantly designed automatic Upset Butt Welding Machines. The Wire Butt Welding are portable models mounted on wheeled trolley type stand with arrangement of foot pedal operation. 

Easy to Operate

The operation of the Butt Welding is so simple that even un-skilled personnel find it easy to get a perfect weld.

Construction

Main body housing the welding transformer and current controls, fixed & moveable plattens are compactly constructed from aluminum castings.

Upset Travel

Moveable platten travels on precision parallel guides ensuring almost frictionless movement and perfect automatic alignment of wire.

Upset Pressure

A precision spring action on the moveable platten provides forging pressure. It is set as per size of the wire, By means of an adjustable calibrated dial mounted on the fixed platten.

Clamps

Spring Loaded copper alloy clamps are of precision quick-acting design ensuring firm clamping of wires. Each clamp is released by individual foot pedal.

Electrodes

Special wear-resisting copper alloy electrodes with precision V-grooves for different wire sizes, permit rapid and accurate alignment of wires.

Upset Gap

Initial upset gap is varied as per diameter of the wire, by the adjustment of a lever set against a calibrated plate mounted on the moveable platten.

Weld Current Selection

Welding current is selected depending upon wire size in 6 steps by rotary switch mounted on front.

Weld Current Initiation

A manual push button fitted on one side of the fixed platten initiates the current to start the welding cycle. Automatic current make and break are effected via a magnetic contactor incorporated.

Weld Current Cut-Off

In the automatic welding cycle the current gets cut off at a pre-set upsetting distance.

Electrode Lighting Fixture

Each machine is equipped with a lamp for lighting the electrodes to ensure correct alignment and proper overhang of wire ends from electrodes.

Annealing

Separate annealing electrodes are provided for annealing the welded zone of the wire
